James McKellar showed the effects of a hard winter training, winning the 500m time trial at Seddon Park on Tuesday with a time of 40.21s. Bryony Telford was the closest competitor, stopping the clock at 43.80s, just ahead of Russell McGarry on 43.93s.

Neil Derbyshire dominated the senior scratch races, winning both the 8-lap and 12-lap races ahead of Carl Haddon. McKellar finished 3rd in the 8-lap race. A tight sprint in the 12-lap race could not distinguish a whether Ella Harris or Ray Hope crossed the line in 3rd. Haddon took the top spot in the elimination race, riding the entire race at the front. Smart riding from Harris saw Telford eliminated in 3rd, but she could not match Haddon’s speed and finished in 2nd.

Madeleine Cooper-Forster almost made a clean sweep of the junior racing, finishing ahead of Mark McCormack in the time trial and scratch races. Caleb Rollo finished ahead of her in the 5-lap handicap race, with Cooper-Forster finishing second. Flynn Cooper-Forster held off Mark McCormack on the line and finished 3rd.

Olivia McDonald rode fiercely in the roadster grade, but could not hold off Caleb Rollo who finished ahead of her in the 1 and 2 lap handicap races.
